Today we’re going to do a little bit different of a review. Normally we focus on tech products like Bluetooth speakers, phones and laptops but today we’re going to be talking about KeySmart. KeySmart is a “pocket organizer” and basically what it does is take the place of your normal keychain and bring down the size to a manageable situation.

Before KeySmart, my everyday carry was huge. I had a long lanyard with two car key fobs, multiple carabiners, a fob for work, multiple keys… and it could never go in my pocket. Nevermind the fact that it would scratch my phone to hell and back but it was so big that it would hurt. A lot. I had been searching for a solution to this first world problem for a while but very causally. A few Google searches here, a few minutes there then on to the next thing. I didn’t think changing this aspect of my life would make that big of a difference.

But when I stopped having to worry about my keys, subconsciously I calmed down a bit. All men do the three point check. Keys, wallet, phone. And the fact that I could now keep my keys in my pocket again with my wallet made my life so much easier. It’s just one thing off my plate.

There are several models of the KeySmart. But the thing they all have in common is that they’re slim and compact. No matter the model you choose,  you can have between 2 and 50 keys on your keyring with the KeySmart. Also there’s an added loop on the end for the fob for your car. Everything swings inside and is protected so no chance of snags or breaks on your keys and no stabbing your leg in your pocket. When you can keep everything organized in a package smaller than a pack of gum, you know you’re doing something right.

The KeySmart is universal too. It can fit almost any key you can pick up at the hardware store so you don’t need to stick with a certain brand or cut. And boy is it strong. The KeySmart is made with airplane grade aluminum, stainless steel and has a laser engraved KeySmart logo on the outside that just seems to fit in without being too in your face.

You can upgrade to the titanium edition that comes in beautiful silver medical grade titanium. KeySmart also offers add ons like a usb drive that you can include in side ranging in sizes from 8 GB all the way up to 64 GB, a bottle opener, a pocket clip and a quick disconnect and quick retract option. They’ve seemingly thought of everything.

In the 3 weeks that I’ve been testing out the KeySmart I’ve had really no issues. It’s rare in reviewing a product that I have nothing negative to say about a product but this is definitely one of them. If we’re being really picky, I guess some of the add-ons can get a bit pricey. The 64 GB USB option will run you an extra $50 but honestly this is a really cool product and add on features like this are sometimes a bit pricey but normally worth it. I’ll be ordering my custom KeySmart with a few options now that I’ve had a chance to try it out.

If you want to pick up a KeySmart, check out their website below. The base price is $20 which is incredibly reasonable. This a great American company that makes all their products here in the States in Chicago so consider supporting them.
